I'm New

So you’ve heard about Sonrise, and you are a little curious. Going to a new place can be intimidating and scary. How will I know where to park? What if my kid has to go to the bathroom? What do I wear? We’ve asked those questions too. Please know we will make every effort to make sure your first experience is worry free. We look forward to hanging out with you and becoming friends.

 

1. Put your comfortable clothes on
Leave that tie on the rack and consider wearing jeans. What you wear is not nearly important as who you are.

2. Where is Sonrise
Click on this map link and wholla you know how to get to the Sonrise Church on Boulevard road. Just park your car and come on in.

3. First Contact
When you walk up to the front doors you will be greeted by one of our members. They will give you a worship guide and are there to answer any questions you have.  Restrooms are available in the main hall. Oh, and plan on spending some time meeting new friends.

4. What happens to the Kids
 They will go to the main worship service with you. We do provide a room for parents where they can take their children who just cannot make it through the message. This room has toys for the children and a video feed so the parents can still follow the message and fill out your worship guide.

5. What is the fellowship time for?
Right in the middle of the worship service we take a break. This is a time to get coffee, water, cookies, or any other number of refreshments that are available each week. This is also a time to get acquainted and to let the kids stretch before Pastor Bob's morning message.

6. Worship
We have worked hard to provide you with an experience where you can connect with God. At 10:35, we begin our time together. The music is mix of contemporary and traditional. The words will be on the screen for you to follow.

7. Teaching
Pastor Bob has a style that is relational and to the point. He is passionate about how the Bible leads us into truth and helps us with every day living. We will use video, audio, music, drama, or other creative methods to make learning interesting for you.

8. Closing
We strive to be done by 11:40 so you can beat the lunch rush.
